What Are The Main Types Of Shredders?

1. Classification by Jaw Shape and Function:

  • Standard Crusher Pliers: This is the most common and versatile type. Its jaws are typically triangular or arc-shaped with sharp tips, suitable for general crushing and crushing operations on concrete structures, masonry walls, etc. It can effectively crush concrete blocks and preliminarily separate reinforcing bars.
  • Reinforcing Bar Cutting Pliers: These pliers have specially designed jaws, usually shorter and thicker, with specialized grooves or blades at the cutting edge for efficiently cutting and capturing exposed reinforcing bars, cables, and structural steel (such as I-beams and H-beams). They are characterized by extremely high shearing force and are specifically designed for metal handling.
  • Combination Crusher Pliers: Combining the features of the above two types, one end is designed for crushing concrete, and the other end is designed for cutting reinforcing bars. The operator can switch between different working modes simply by rotating the pliers (if the excavator has a rotating function), achieving "one machine for two uses," improving work efficiency and flexibility.
  • Flatbed Crusher/Road Breaker: Featuring wide, flat jaws, it is specifically designed for crushing large-area flat structures such as floor slabs, road surfaces, and airport runways. Its wide jaw design ensures efficient and even crushing operations, preventing excessive puncture.

2. Classification by Rotation Capacity:

  • Fixed Crusher: The jaws are fixed to the excavator arm and cannot rotate independently. This structure is simple and low-cost, but it lacks operational flexibility when frequent adjustments to the jaw angle are needed for precise material engagement, requiring constant movement of the excavator arm.
