Introduction To Log Grabbers

Sep 16, 2026

A log grappling hook is a specialized accessory for excavator working devices, belonging to the field of construction machinery. Also known as a log gripper or stone grabber, it is primarily used for loading, unloading, and handling materials such as timber, metal, and stone, covering scenarios such as forest farms, ports, and scrap metal processing.

This device is divided into two types: mechanical and hydraulic. The mechanical type is driven by the bucket cylinder and does not require modification of the hydraulic system. The hydraulic type includes both 360° rotating and non-rotating types, requiring the addition of hydraulic valve blocks and pipelines for control. The product uses wear-resistant materials such as Q345 manganese steel, and features a built-in balance valve to ensure stable clamping force. Some models are equipped with a worm gear rotation mechanism to enhance impact resistance. It is compatible with mainstream excavator models ranging from 3 to 65 tons, and its structural strength and gripping efficiency are optimized through computer-aided design.
