At present, there are two basic structural forms: the four-link structure with non-adjustable loosening angle and the four-link structure with adjustable loosening angle.
The four-link structure with non-adjustable scarification angle is a statically indeterminate structure, with relatively high overall strength, balanced force on each component, and good impact resistance. However, it only lifts the hydraulic cylinder instead of tilting the hydraulic cylinder, and the movement trajectory of the tooth tip is basically fixed.
During the process of scarifying, the support angle of the ripper can only move up and down, but the scarifying angle of the tooth tip cannot be adjusted. It cannot take into account the different requirements for the scarifying angle when the tooth tip is inserted into the soil and when the soil is loosened. Since the ripper of large bulldozers works on working surfaces with different hardnesses such as clay, salt mines, frozen soil, rock formations, etc., different working conditions have different requirements for the ripper angle. Therefore, the scope of use of this structure is subject to certain restrictions and is only suitable for small and medium-sized bulldozers.
The four-link structure with adjustable scarification angle is equipped with both a lifting hydraulic cylinder and a tilt hydraulic cylinder. It not only has the advantages of the four-link structure with non-adjustable scarification angle, but also can adjust the scarification angle of the tooth tip within a certain range according to the requirements of the working conditions to obtain the best soil entry angle and scarification angle, improve the stress state of the ripper, and ensure that the machine always maintains good soil scarification performance.
